Senario:

State: Alabama is in mandated shut down on all salons.

Stylist: Home with uncertainty & no $

Client: Still going to work but within guideline of social distancing.

Here I see a grey coverage client still having to go in public to work who’s self confidence levels are making her reach for a box on the shelves of her local XYZ.

She instead reaches out for her phone and contacts the stylist she’s built a relationship with for help and offers support.

As an Organic salon owner, I have spent years restoring my clients hair. I’m not going to allow someone in need of help and offering to support me in my time of need to think I don’t care just as much about her hair as she does: so here’s what happened next.

I was able to collect some quick cash to feed my family and make sure my client was cared for and using her unique formula that only o can supply her. We didn’t break any social distance codes of behavior and I can assure you my sweet handwritten notes on what do wont replace me once this pandemic passes and we can get back in our salons.

Teaching our clients how to care for themselves won’t hurt us. It will deepen their trust with you and maybe just maybe they’ll think twice about purchasing other items from stores other than your salon in the future. A little trust goes a long way.

I repurposed our glass mask jars for her two part color mixture to stay airtight until she arrives to pick it up. Our glass Oway Organics hnectar bottles were perfect for 2oz. Portions of developer for the guest to easily mix the bottle into the jar. I also bagged her a color brush and some nitrile gloves for safety.

in the Eleven years of salon ownership I have found one thing to stay true. Change is inevitable. Our adaptation of that change determines much our progression of business success.

In conclusion do what makes sense for you in your unique situation in your business today. Don‘t worry about what everyone else is doing. Have integrity in the things that matter to you. Stay Focused and Be Healthy!
